The proposal for Oceanside North and South buildings form the core of the Plymouth Peninsula masterplan, hosting a combination of residential and hospitality environments within a new public realm amenity, integrating them seamlessly with the existing surrounding landscape.

The two sculpted building forms of varying scales mirror the many rocky coastal outcrops on the island with the arrangement permitting prevailing coastal winds to permeate the site and assist an overall passive environmental strategy as well as maximising coastal views.

Voids puncture the two building forms creating shaded, landscaped courtyard spaces providing a separate tropical micro-climate and refuge from the coastal elements.

Prominent ribbons of blue limestone cladding demarcate each of the buildings’ floor levels, resonating with the rocky strata and sheer cliff faces of the peninsula.
